Ahmad Farid Farhamand was born in March 1985 in Jaghori district of Ghazni province. He completed
his primary and secondary education at Faiziyah High School in Jaghori.
In 2003, he entered the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kabul University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
in Film and Theater Directing in 2006.
In 2015, he graduated with a Master of Science in Multimedia Technology (MSc.MM) from the
Punjab Technical University in India.
After returning to his homeland, he worked as the Head of the post-production department of the
Roya Film House from 2015 to 2021. He also worked professionally in the fields of 3D, graphic design,
video editing, sound editing, and colour correction.
From 2017 to 2021, he was a faculty member of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kabul University, where
he taught in the Departments of Photography and Cinema.
With the return of the Taliban to power in Afghanistan, Mr. Farhamand was forced to flee his
homeland and immigrate to Germany.
